With those words reverberating in your head, a massive shape starts to emerge from the shadows. Something approximating a head—as if modeled in clay by a young child—appears; chalky white, split nearly in half by a mouth over-filled with fist-sized square teeth. The bone eater’s head is supported by several pale jointed legs, like those of a misshapen cancerous crab.

Whenever the bone eater consumes a bone, it gains a number of hitpoints per the below table, this may take the form of temporary hit points.
Actions
Multiattack.
The bone eater makes two actions.
Bite.
Melee Attack: +11 to hit, 2d10 + 8 bludgeoning damage, range 5ft
The bone eaters massive jaws open impossibly wide and snap shut with a sickening crunch on Kern’s arm and sword—crushing both.
Lunge.
The bone eater moves up to half its speed. All creatures in movement path are pushed back 5ft and must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 2d8 + 8 bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. A creature in its path may instead use their Reaction to attempt to stop it with a DC 25 Strength check, success avoids all affects.
In a sudden rush, the bone eater advances, shoving aside party members until just as suddenly it come to a stop, slamming into Enlynn, breaking her concentration.
Skewer.
Melee Attack: +11 to hit, 1d12 + 8 piercing damage, range 5ft, On a failed DC 15 Dexterity save the target is Restrained.
The bone eater lashes out with one of its forelimbs, the boney spike pinning you to the wall.
Legendary Actions
Acquire Bone (Recharge 5-6).
The bone eater will attempt to teleport a bone into its body. If the targeted bone is part of creature, it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC per table below) or lose that bone. Depending on the bone lost, the affected creature may suffer from motor loss. A bone may be regrown by Regenerate, or returned by the bone eater.
A sharp gasp turns into a wailing scream as Thandiel collapses to the ground, their leg flopping uselessly as muscles no longer connected to bone attempt to control it
